What to bring
- A swimsuit that stays put when your swimmer moves
- A towel, and a second one if your swimmer gets cold easily
- Goggles, if your swimmer already uses them
- A swim diaper for babies and toddlers who need one
- A change of clothes for afterwards
We go through this in more detail, including what not to bother packing, in what to bring to swim lessons.
Your first visit
Arrive with time to change
Give yourself enough time to get changed and find the pool deck without rushing your swimmer.
Meet the instructor
Tell them anything useful about your swimmer, including nerves or past experiences in the water.
Decide where to sit
Whether to watch depends on the child, and there is no single right answer.
Our instructors are lifeguard certified, CPR and first aid certified, and background checked. Our founder has more than 30 years of aquatics experience.
