A certification no other Charleston swim school has
Our Adaptive Swim Instructors, our Swim Whisperers, are Swim Angelfish® certified to teach children and adults with disabilities of all kinds. Instead of forcing a swimmer into a standard lesson plan, we adapt the lesson to the swimmer, using a multi level tier approach that meets each student exactly where they are.

How our adaptive lessons work
Feel safe first
Every lesson is private, so your swimmer has our instructor's full attention with no crowd and no pressure. We start by building comfort and trust in the water.
Build water safety skills
Next we teach the water safety skills that can save a life, at a pace set by your swimmer, not a class average.
Develop real technique
From there we build strong, lasting swim technique so your swimmer keeps growing in confidence and ability.
More than water safety
Swimming is a life skill, and for many of our students it is also therapeutic. The water offers a sense of weightlessness that can ease physical discomfort, help regulate sensory overload, and give swimmers a rare feeling of freedom and control. Parents regularly tell us the confidence their child builds in the pool carries over into the rest of their life.
Where we offer adaptive swim lessons
We teach adaptive swim lessons across the Charleston and North Charleston area, including at the North Charleston Aquatic Center and North Charleston Sports Complex. We also offer private home pool lessons, which can be an ideal fit for swimmers who feel most comfortable in a familiar environment.
